One of the first things I learned in internet when I called my cable company to say my site was not loading . Actually hey said push the reset button on the modem, that did not do it, then they said clear the dns cache.

My former boss told us to clear the cache every week for increased performance and I got used to it even after leaving his company, I still do it.

I hate cache for my browser and dns settings, it screws up things when I update a site and go to check it, so I clear it every day.

What ever works for you, I have not done this in my life. Though I do clear my browser cache regularly.
