My point is you can not justify every shit people say as free speech, hate speech is bad and needs to be curtailed.

Okay who and where do you draw the line at what is free speech and what is not. It's a very dangerous path when you have others decide for you what you can and can not say. If you say some bad things then others can react and put you in your place, but having someone decide what you may or may not say is not going to end well.

I am not condoning hate speech don;t get me wrong, but just stating my point on free speech.

By my understanding it is but those acts would be wrong and there are laws to handle them. I am not saying go yell fire in a theater to panic people out of spite or as a joke, you do that it is wrong but there are remedies under the law.

Who is anyone to tell anyone else what they can say, when and why they can say it.

Furthermore, when you are telling someone they can not say what they want to say and are limiting their sharing their feeling, then what you are doing is hate. You hate their feeling and what they are sharing enough to force them into silence.

I want people to be able to speak their mind, so I know who to watch out for. Unless you just want all the haters to go underground.

I do not agree that falsely yelling fire should be against the law. I do agree that when some ass hat does it, everyone hurt by this lie should be able to sue the person for damages. The government is not supposed to get involved in speech issues, except to clarify what is what.

Advertising, obscenity, slander, libel, and inciting lawless are all unconstitutional and should be removed by the Federal Government at the Federal level. Except as to clarify what is what? Meaning, if you lie about me, then slander and libel laws should only define what is slander and libel. I should be able to take you to court and sue you for these. When I prove that you did this action, slander or libel, I should then be able to sue for damages. The Government is only involved to judge the case, be the mediator. The government can not come after you for slander or libel. This is my understanding.

Inciting laws are not completely about speech, they are about an action. Inciting, in my understanding is inciting a group to do harm. The harm is what is wrong, not the speech. The person speaking is the one that initiated the action. Thus the law. So don't try to get someone to do harm, is the goal.

Advertising and obscenity laws should be removed completely. We don't need nanny police. Allow local laws to deal with this. Allow the corporations to deal with this, like they already do.

Too many people can not comprehend how it is supposed to work, thus it is not run properly. The Federal Government should do what it was created to do and no more.
Each state should do the same. Then the county, then the city. Each is a different "Governement" with different authorities and we are being taught they are all one and the same. They are NOT.

What I mean by reactionary opinion as I could not find the exact words I wanted or a definition for reactionary opinions, is. When you create an opinion in reaction to a very small amount of data and then you keep that opinion no matter what data you receive afterwards.
