cloud hosting ???

does anyone use cloud hosting exclusivly for your sites?

if so ... are you satisfied with it?

any difference vs dedicsted server.?

Nothing personal against people using cloud servers but I'm old school, never used anything but a dedicated server in 20 years. I know some swear by cloud but I like the idea of my server no one else on it. Maybe it's paranoia in todays world but that's me.

And he only way to know you are on a physically dedicated server is to have root access. One time a host was royally screwing me on what they claimed was a dedicated box, and I found out it wasn't. If a host won't give you root access you have to ask yourself why.

A VPN can have root access. A legitimate reason to not give you root access is if it's managed hosting.

As long as my sites load fast i have no problems with cloud over a dedicated server. That said I like my own dedicated server.
