It is a sad state of affairs when society has not evolved and still lives in the dark ages of ignorance. That video was hard to watch, and guess what the 'instructor' was using a 'boy' in place of a woman. It is a subliminal message to all males in the religion/culture to be barbaric towards women form a young age. Sick the only word I can sum this thing up with is sick.

The issue here seems to be how well informed you are on this subject matter, aka educated. Your lack of education might be keeping you from seeing and comprehending the point of this great (although incomplete) educational video.
This video is educational to men that actually BEAT their women. This video is not to teach a beating. It is saying, stop hurting your wife. It is explaining the rules of proper discipline in their society.
This video might actually help several men discipline their wives correctly and thus save the woman's life.
This video could use some instruction on what the rules are and why these rules are in place. Mostly to educate people that are not informed enough to know these rules and why they are in place. (To protect the women from the violent world outside their home.)
This video could use some instruction for the men as to what to do before a beating is required. If we are still calling the example in this video a beating? I mean come on, "a beating?"
This video is a GREAT start to reducing the abuse of Islamic women! Stop with your negative responses. See it for what it was meant to be. Educating men how not to hurt their wives/women.
These people do NOT live in a society even close to ours. It is not safe for a woman to go out unattended. They have their rules for a reason. Who are we/you to judge them. Who are we to change their rules. Do you know how long it takes a society to update a societal rule completely across the entire society? FUCK NO you don't.

I promise you this ladies, if you lived where they do, you would not go outside alone (often). When you did, a beating from you husband, father or brother might just be preferred as to what they just saved you from.

What makes you think that little boy has not been beat more severe than every woman in his society? The men are more violent towards each other and their male children than they are toward the women. Our media wants to focus on the women and are almost completely ignoring the treatment of the men/boy children. This is a sick discrimination by our society.
My STEP father beat me. HIT me in the face with a closed fist, struck me with items like 2x4s and sat on my chest and punched me in the face, etc. (One time because I brought a "C" home in 6th grade english. You can tell by reading my posts that his beating did not help my writing skills.) I wish he had a video like this to teach him the proper way to discipline a child. All he did was make me the toughest kid in school (cause the other kids could not hit me near as hard as he did). Later I became a man that kicked the shit out of him and then anyone I chose to kick. (I have a strong set of guidelines for hurting people now. Similar to Batman!)
Had my step father had a video like this, several men would still have their teeth or never experienced a beating by me. Hope you get my point of this part of my post. This video is good for Islamic men and women. This video is NOT aimed at your typical American.
Men and women, lets not ignore the fact that we all know that women discipline men.
Why do women discipline their men?
We have high maintenance women that want more physical possessions. They want more spending money, a cleaning person, a new car, a bigger house, etc.
There are women that are just cruel, just like some men are cruel. (Are you aware that since the #METOO bullshit started that men have started filing reports on female on male abuse and even RAPE? Probably not. Recognition of Female on male abuse is on the rise!)
A good friend of mine - his wife wants the house spotless (and I mean spotless) she makes more money than him, he moved into her house, etc etc. FYI, he is the bitch in the relationship - she is dominant, with a vengeance. For some reason, this is okay because men deserve this treatment due to all the years they have mistreated women. WTF? He did not do it, so why is it okay to mistreat him?
He does not have to pay for any of her shit. NOR does she pay for any of his shit. Cause they are equals, except where it comes to the house being the way SHE wants. If it is not, HE IS PUNISHED. Mostly by nagging and then by lack of communication (silent treatment) and then by withholding sexual activity. I don't need to tell men that they are disciplined, but from the responses to this video it seems the women need to be reminded that they do discipline men. Often for selfish reasons.
Too many people seem to think that this type of discipline is acceptable (even as revenge), even though the reasons for the discipline are ridiculous. Whereas the reason for discipline in Islamic society originated for family protection (and still IS for family protection in some areas of the world) .
Men only have a few ways to "discipline" a women, short of striking them. Can you men name them? I did not think so! Cause you are whooped!
Men are the head of the house. At least in my world. This has been the tradition for thousands of years. In the past 50 years this has changed slowly in "civilized areas". Mainly due to the increase in safety when you leave the house. This is the reason for the typically weaker partner to stay hidden in many species.
50 years plus ago, due to the decrease in death during child birth, ETC. ... The wife used to be very young in comparison to the man. Because he needed a young woman to make more heirs after his first wife died during child birth or to increase the chances of survival. Young men were not allowed to start families, until they had proven they had the means to care for a family. This was the reason men protected their daughters from other men, back then. The same reason Islam has rules to protect their family members. This was not barbaric behavior.
Most of you have no idea what I am talking about! Do you?
Men needed younger women to give him children to continue using what his toil has brought forth. aka Younger versions of him to operate the homestead after he has left for the next life. This is the real reason we have laws concerning the age at which older people can have sex with younger people. Population control. Do you know why we don't have laws against young people having sex with young people?
These laws were enacted so that men did not need to protect their daughters with such violence as the Islams do. We enacted these laws, so our children could go out of the house and FEEL safer. They are not actually safer, but that is a different discussion and I am already pontificating.

If you are a man and lucky enough to find a woman to be an equal partner in your relationship GREAT! I envy you.
If you are a woman that has found a man that causes/allows/forces/etc you to be the head of the house, then that was YOUR choice. At times, I wish someone else would tell me what do to, as long as they are better equipped to make the decision than me.
IF you think that partnerships should be equal, like I was hoping my relationship would be, I hope that you found a partner that does their part without "stupervision". I did NOT.

People 'reportedly' are really beating each other. Let us not limit these beatings to their women.
If this type of video decreases the severity of ONE beating, I think the people that published the video have done a good thing.
