Then submit to google search console, Bing, etc.

For SEO Specialists, it is certainly frowned upon when they do NOT do it.

I akin it to NOT putting your phone number or a contact page on your business web site. Obviously phone number and a contact page are not required for an affiliate site, but eCommerce sites, business sites, etc. MUST have these. All sites that are working with SEO MUST have a sitemap. PERIOD!

For those of you that don't have one, add on, then let us know what has happened in 4 to 6 weeks.

the site map generator sites that do it for free limit it to 500 pages, that is not enough if your site has thousands of pages.

The program is like $20 or something. why be cheap when it comes to website promotion? Get it done.

Do you use a map when you go on a trip or drive around and map the roads as you go?

Without a sitemap you are asking Google to figure it out on their own. This GREATLY decreases crawl time.
