#1

Post by plumpprincessxxx » March 1st, 2019, 10:10 am

Hi just asking to educate myself on the pros and cons of using subdomains or keeping each blog on it's own domain.

Thank you for the help.

All depends on what I am doing, for white label sites I put them on a domain , for blogs I use sub's.

Subdomains do not increase the alexa rank of the main domain, where as folders do. If you care about your alexa ranking that is.

Buying one domain for each blog is expensive so I use sub-domains

Sub domains are seen as a seperate entity by google https://www.hostgator.com/blog/what-are ... ffect-seo/

From an SEO standpoint, I would steer clear of them and stick to one domain with folders.

sub domains are not going to help your main domain, use folders.

In simple terms a sub-domain is no different for Google than another domain
