Has this been asked before. Do you have copyright 2018 say for when you started your site or copyright 2018-2019 or do you change it to copyright 2019.

How I roll , it' not that big a deal to me. I post it and leave it alone.

The way I understand it is the copyright should cover the entire time span covered under copyright, not just the current year. It might not keep anyone from stealing your content, however it does make it clear that the content is not in public domain and should help if you decide to do something about it.

Sometimes writing a cease and desist letter will scare the crap out of the offender. You don't need a lawyer, you can write it yourself. It worked for me before when someone appropriated a graphic from a mainstream site.
