Anyone here using VAST?

[HeidiHoe]

Do any of you run in video ads? Have you had good ROI? I spent the last few days learning how to get the ads to run, getting some prerolls together and slapping them up. I've started to run ads for cams, games, etc on my tubes

I'm taking about the ads you see in videos. The ones that play a few sec and give you option to skip. Fluid player has a free wp plugin you can use to run them in your html5 player. You can run pre mid post roll ads, banner overlays at start pause or mid. VAST is the xml that tells the player which ads to run when. There's a basic example you can look at in the plugin download and if you google for vast xml standards you can get extensive manuals just like you can on anything else. I went ahead and wrote my vast in php files so I could randomize the ads included on page load.
