Tumblr - No Adult Content

Tumblr goes to war with adult content

Tumblr said this week that it is eradicating pornography and almost all nudity from its website — the announcement comes weeks after Tumblr was briefly removed from Apple App Store after child pornography was reportedly found. Tumblr said in a blog post that it will ban “images, videos, or GIFs that show real-life human genitals” or “female-presenting nipples," and media that depicts sex acts, by December 17. Algorithms will flag and hide posts deemed in violation of the policy, reports The Verge.

How will this affect adult web sites?

[BHT]

It'll hurt Tumblr just as badly, there is a lot of adult content on there.

More business for adult sites think about this

but too ... lots of sites were linked through tumblr ... a good source of back links

so now bikini sites will emerge on tumblr

I recently read somewhere that tumblr had their app banned in the iphone store due to adult content. Perhaps that had something to do with their decision.

I have just started to add to them, oh well.

[pornmafia]

Not going to be a big hit on my traffic, I hardly ever used it.

[pussyhunter]

It is not that Tumblr was the breaking point for traffic sources, it is the trend of these sites taking adult away that is concerning.

[calista]

My account will get blocked then, that is what i was using it for

[Sneaky]
