There's someone that quite a few might know who makes good 5 figures/day on "buying a shit ton of cross sales", so yeah the business model is still alive. Just because something has an affiliate program, that doesn't mean that it's in the best interest for the affiliates..

The market place fixes all non-effective business methods, if there are cross sales then yes they must be making money

Not all credit card companies allow it any more, this is good for the industry.
