They're selling mining equipment by the pound in China for a small fraction of want it was worth just a year ago. Depending on the equipment it can cost more in electricity to operate then you can make mining. Profit is gone.

The tech is maturing. I read some where it's having an impact on how banks process transactions. The tech is being applied.

I can definitely back this up from a sales perspective, profit is gone, this time last year there phones where ringing all the time asking for bitcoin related things, people where buying equipment like crazy and now its a rare occasion to hear the word bitcoin, the downfall of this in my opinion was power, colocated or inhouse power was getting to expensive with these miners. Im happy to hear the tech is actually being used though
