how important is it for sites to have a mobile version

[Abby]

Not looking to sound a blond, even though I do dye my hair light blond ( no serious I do) but is it important for sites to have a mobile version to be successful.

[linux]

Absolutely!1 While I use my phone just for phone calls, I'm not the norm.
Think of how many people live on their phones, for both pleasure and business.

It is of paramount importance today for a site to work on hand helds, lap tops and smart phones.
