Adult and VR sites

When starting out every one told me to start promotion of VR adult sites. I am not feeling the love, is VR that popular with the public who pay for a membership or is it just some thing webmasters say it is.

It sounds like a great idea and there is a lot of hype around VR but I dont think it has really taken hold of the market yet, VR gogles are expensive and memberships as well, I suppose now is the time to get into it and when it really takes off you will be well established.

Vive roomscale is really fun and immersive, but I think the tech is still early even though that style of VR first came out around 1991.
Apple is planning an 8k VR headset and that might boost things a bit.
But, think about it. First of all, it's still niche expensive hardware so not too many people are using it compared to the hundreds of millions daily watching regular porn. Then, how many of those are going to watch porn with it? There's kind of a risk jerking off with a thing over your face and headphones that cancel out most sound around you. I'd be paranoid.. :p Then you have to think of all of those people watching porn, which small percentage are going to pay for it, because even VR is free on tubes.. Then, the small percent that actually does buy a membership, what are the chances that they are going to use your affiliate link? Sure, VR sites themselves can do well, but is it good for you to promote as an affiliate is the main question to ask.
I think review sites would do best, that's about it tbh.

If they spend for the vr equipment you know they'll spend online, so they are a good crowd for new sales.
