Be careful not all services that offer cdn hosting are the same, I am not going to mention names but I have heard some bad shit about 2.

CDN is very useful for tube sites and can increase load times.

It also helps when using common tech such as jQuery, Angular, etc.

I use https://aws.amazon.com/cloudfront/ as a personal CDN and use Googles CDN for things like jquery and other libraries I use in projects.

Not really a CDN but you may also want to look at AWS S3.
