I did for SC last year, it's only like $5. a year at Godaddy and it shows the site has no malware or suspicious links, the SSL certificate is valid and no phishing goes on the site. For the price and security of all 3 items I think its is worth it.

Well for one thing McAfee benefits when you add their seal. They're promoting their product and charging you a monthly fee at the same time. The McAfee total protection download page is linked up and offering a 50% discount. They're having their cake and eating it too! :)

They should be paying you...

There are a lot of free SSL options such as CloudFlare.com and LetsEncrypt.org
