Does anyone remember the UK webmaster forum Beer and Bollocks:

Was a great forum but closed down I think around 2017 I believe.

Anyone here used to post there. I used to post quite a lot and enjoyed a lot of banter with the other members.

Yep it died about 5-6 years back. All they did was argue drama and mess with people as far as I remember. They eventually gave up said fuck this closed the forum down.

Yeh I do remember very well, when I started sponsorchat back in 2004 they were one of the idiots to say the board would never make it and fail in no time, along with greenguyandjim which I bought the domain from Jim years later for $150 and sold it for a shit load more. 14 years ago adult webmaster boards were making a killing in ad sales, how I started this one was when I approached netpond they said for $1.5 million we'll sell you a 49% interest in the site, I was like whoa are you two (Meat and lord aga) on drugs or what. netpond died and went offline years ago now by the way.
Not to mention Medium pimpin who along with Oprano said sponsorchat would fail in no time, again 2 losers who are spam hell at best. Even spammers are not spamming them any more lol.

Never lick the new guy on the block, it might come back to bit you in the ass.


October 4th ( 4 days time) sponsorchat.com will be 14 years old, so they predicted things incorrectly.

the old forum at www.oprano.com has not had any posts there for years

but it is fun to go back and read the old posts as lessons of history in that old forum

It's true there was a lot of bitching and back stabbing but I found it an interesting place. It was cliquey and belligerent but I found it very interesting and missed it when it closed down.
Some of the members used to wind me up a lot telling me my sites were rubbish but I enjoyed that banter and gave as good as I got. It's great that I can still look at the site and read some of the posts with the Internet Time Machine. Happy times.
