It annoys the shit out of me when I try contact a site and their contact form makes you register to just ask a question before becoming an affiliate.

I agree with you brotha, it's dumb. I would support legislation to require every adult site to have an accessible contact means.

There's a very simple reason for this. Public forms are a magnet for spam. When our contact form was open to the public (even with captcha codes), I would guess 1 in 50 was a valid request

Now we simply publish an email address for non-registered affiliates

Cloudflare has a captcha you can use, I support every site having a contact method.

The problem is AI bots can easily solve captcha challenges. That's why captchas are getting ever more complex.

Even before AI, we had google captcha on our contact forms and we still got nothing but spam and/or SQL injection attacks. Now we have switched to an email address. Much easier to handle
