They already have met, VR is becoming more realistic thanks to artificial intelligence

VR still has the headset problem, the audience is tiny compared to the traffic a plain tube gets and the sponsors paying for it are few. AI on the other hand is already useful on the boring side, unique titles and descriptions so your pages arent copies of the same feed everyone else pulls. Thats where I'd put the effort now imo, the VR part can wait until people actually wear the things.
