I agree with anyone who says the affiliate made this industry what it is. In the early days sponsors paid per click and there were only a handful in the early days. Since it was a small club of owners some got together decided why pay for traffic let's give affiliates a share of a sale or a one time payment per sale. That was the first big change in how the affiliate model changed.

Sites should pay for traffic not expect affiliates to work hard send traffic hope the site converts and pay them a part of that sale, this is where the internet affiliate model fails to make any sense. I only sell traffic now, and they pay me for it.
