Be careful West Nile virus detected in southern California

All you Southern Californians like me read this KTLA article. West Nile virus is no joke.



"Orange County vector control officials announced Wednesday that West Nile virus was confirmed this week in samples collected from several cities, including Costa Mesa, Fullerton, Garden Grove and Westminster.

Last week, officials reported samples infected with West Nile virus in the cities of Buena Park, Huntington Beach, Santa Ana and Seal Beach.

Inspectors will be out in the areas impacted to check known sources of mosquito breeding in an effort to identify any unknown sources.

If samples continue to test positive for West Nile virus, adult mosquito control may be conducted, officials say."

There has not been any reported case of West Nile Virus infections in Malta , the local governments have set up mosquito awareness campaigns to tell people the dangers of it and other diseases carried by mosquitos
