i've been woking on like 5 things simultaneously. throwing shit at the wall hoping something might stick one could say :D AI assistant integration into a chain of hospitals contract was supposed to be signed this week, there is also a drone manufacturing (yes, really haha) deal in the works - each of these gigs well into seven figures, either one would solve many problems. couple other things happening some of which i should not be talking about...

did a couple of projects for other people, clients seem to be pleased with my work, one paid more than quoted even. finally started doing upwork.com but didn't stick to it...

pivoting my baby project, updated the aff program landing page just yesterday: https://fbmhdl.com/. negotiated down to $50k for a domain for the flagship app, failed to secure funding within the 4 days they gave me :/ will get it though, it's the perfect name for this.

i also built this elaborate bot to automate job search / application process. it's got it's own server (24/7 scanning / sorting / analysing...), access to my local computers, servers, email, and everything else. it even has a UK phone number so i can just call him at any time and vice versa. now it doesn't look like i'll need a job, the bot can be repurposed.

what else, what else... tailscale + herdr + mosh = very good setup. also, i've been getting bigger lately

Image

TMI? sure, but you did ask and i am sleep deprived, and excited... good day :)

btw Anthropic are opening an office for 800 humans in London and they're hiring currently, my bot told me. starting pay is around $0.5m for most positions. they do want top talent, and the interviews are quite... rough? - i listened to one last year out of curiosity... just in case this info might be useful to anyone here. working for Anthropic would not feel like a waste of time, right - it's one of them profound projects of our time, like Spacex, Openai and such.

How much of a threat is AI to programmers and their business?

i remember, many years ago, i'd create a php script, upload it to the server using ftp client - and it was live. php, sql, ftp was all that was necessary to build things.

fast forward to now: dozens of frameworks, hundreds of libraries, service workers, multi-tenancies etc. etc.

yet we still do the same things as back then - CRUD llf4532
Scripts have come a long way which is good news
