If you want to darken your text inside the text-area (so it shows up better against the white background) then its line 1047 of colours.css :-

#message-box textarea {
color: #999;
}

You can also do the same for your text inputs at line 1053 of colours.css

.inputbox {
background-color: #ffffff;
border-color: #494949;
color: #999;
}
