There's a couple of other things you can do for the cookies popup at least (not the age verification). Firstly you can make it unobtrusive. If you look at the screenshot below, you'll see we have ours as a very small bar at the bottom of the page so it doesn't get in the waygotonudecom wrote: ↑May 12th, 2026, 3:01 pmDon't use them.Leatherman wrote: ↑May 7th, 2026, 4:10 pmCan you share the idea plzgotonudecom wrote: ↑May 7th, 2026, 3:52 pm
oh yes they greatly increase the bounce rate.
I have a solution for that also.
If, say, the age verification script would be triggered, redirect to a page that does not require an age verification.
same with the cookie disclaimer, redirect to a page without cookies.
Then no disclaimers or pop ups interrupt the visitor.
If there is NO law to have these, why have them.
where there is a law. redirect those to a page that complies with those laws.

The other thing is to use implied consent. That means as soon as you display the cookie message, you set the cookie to indicate that they have clicked "accept". That way you only display the message to the user ONCE and if they do anything other than close the browser, then they have accepted your cookies
All perfectly legal and above board
Hope that helps
