Im not sure how much Trump cares about 2028 as he won't be running himself but what he DOES care about is the midterms and he's trying every trick in the book to make sure he wins. Gerrymandering various states to increase the republican seats, banning mail in voting (despite what Trump says lots of countries allow mail in voting). Demanding that states turn over their voter roles so they can go through and cross off anybody they don't think is valid and now demanding proof of citizenship before you can vote. NB - a drivers license is NOT proof of citizenship. It has to be a passport or birth certificate. How many people do not have a passport ? How many married women, for example, have their passports in their maiden name and therefore wouldn't be eligible to vote ??? And who the hell knows where their birth certificate is ???? LOL

I can see these midterms getting very messy. Look what happened last time Trump lost ??

The Simpsons are one of my favourite shows, they had some episodes where the theme of the show became very close to reality.

The ones to watch are Kamala Harris and Gov. Newsom on the Democratic side and whether trump will endorse VP JD Vance or Sec of state Marco Rubio. My gut feeling is he'll endorse Rubio.

As I mentioned earlier in this thread, Trump is NOT going into these mid terms willingly. He tried to get the "save America" act passed and when congress refused, he made a prime time statement to the country all about election fraud and how the 2020 election was stolen from him. He's laying the groundwork to declare a national emergency in November claiming election interference.

Honestly, I don't think Trump will make it to the end of his term. I think he will loose the mid terms in a big way and that gives the democrats 2 years to impeach him for any number of corruption charges. If that happens then that means JD Vance will be president and that's a whole different ball game
