what happens when my host blocks IP's

Just want to know what happens when my host blocks IP's that are sending excess bot traffic to my sites, when real person from that IP comes to my site what do they see. They just blocked some more to stop the bots coming in slowing down my site.

The people on that block IP will not get to see your site, it usually ends up their browser sitting there to load the site and never does.

I often wonder how much real traffic I have lost due to blocking IP's over the years.

Those people's PCs/Mobiles/PCs will not be able to access your site. as simple as that. Just be sure you are not blocking real people.

Every time my host did this my server came down in load average and started opening my sites, it's a thing you have to do when under attack.
