Why are some people saying AI is a bubble and it will burst?

Because they haven't worked out a way to monetize it yet. If you think about it, you use AI all the time, every time you search on google or ask your phone something or whatever. But you don't pay for it. And therein lies the problem and why people are referring to this as a bubble.

I don't know what the figures are now but for the first half of 2025, for example, the US invested nearly $500 billion in AI infrastructure. Building huge data centers all over the country. But the AI industry itself was only worth around $30 billion GLOBALLY. For comparison, that's a little less than the current global smart watch industry

So half a trillion dollars invested in an industry that's only worth $30 billion (and that's just in 6 months) is a potential bubble and it WILL burst.

The only question is when and how bad will it be

I watch TikTok at night and follow accounts I like, if I see an AI model I never follow the account. Maybe it's my age not sure but I do not get into AI models.
