I wish they would make Oceans 14 with the main characters form the previous movies.

How the hell did they pull it off in broad daylight with people in the museum and that fast?

An idea for movie makers, do a movie loosely based on this heist.

With the heightened security I bet they will never allow production of a movie to happen in that place.

Interesting article on the news earlier about this. Apparently, unlike art theft, the chances of them recovering the jewels is very slim. In most cases, the jewels are broken down and sold on. Diamonds are re-cut and gold can be melted down. Obviously they can't do that if its a painting or a sculpture

Their only hope is that, in some rare cases, the robbers hold on to the jewels for a while in case they need a bargaining chip if they get caught

I doubt by now the diamonds and gold are as taken, they must have cut them up and melted the gold.

Check this out hahaha

https://movieweb.com/oceans-14-george-c ... vre-heist/

"George Clooney has offered another exciting update on Ocean's Fourteen, which suggests that Danny Ocean and his charming crew are preparing to the steal the spotlight again. The actor, who portrayed one of the master casino thieves in Ocean's Eleven and its direct sequels, confirmed earlier this month that Warner Bros. had already approved the budget for the long-awaited follow-up and that filming was expected to begin next year. Now Clooney has revealed that the script for the forthcoming film is finished, indicating that the project is making steady progress and remains on track for production to start in "about nine or 10 months" time.

Clooney also joked that the Ocean's franchise will need to raise the stakes to live up to the Louvre jewel heist that recently made headlines. The Oscar-winning actor couldn't help but make a connection between the real-life incident and the upcoming Ocean's Fourteen plot. "I mean, it's terrible. But if you're a professional thief like I am, I was very proud of those guys," he quipped while speaking to Variety at the AFI Fest premiere of his latest film, Noah Baumbach's Netflix comedy Jay Kelly. "I wonder if they're going to catch these guys. They seem to have done a pretty good job at getting away with it… I have to really pull it off.""
