Netanyahu left the WH and said he is not for withdrawing all the troops out of Gaza and is not going to allow a 2 state solution. How is that going to get the other side to put down their weapons and make peace. What i think his is another plan devised by Netanyahu given to Trump to read, (you could tell trump was reading a prepared script he was given) to corner the Arabs, knowing it will never fly and as Trump said, if the Palestinians do not go for it in a few days, Netanyahu has his okay to do whatever he wants. This was all a show and not going to bring peace.Britporn_Mike wrote: ↑September 30th, 2025, 7:21 amYesterday your president Trump has come out with a 20 point peace plan, let's hope it works out and people stop being slaughtered.

If you listen ti the man he has not been shy about saying it, he does not want a Palestinian state, not agreeing with him but it's out there.shoopa wrote: ↑October 1st, 2025, 4:15 pmNetanyahu left the WH and said he is not for withdrawing all the troops out of Gaza and is not going to allow a 2 state solution. You've hit the nail on the head. This wasn't a peace plan, it was an ultimatum. There wasn't any negotiations. It was simply Trump telling the Palestinians to surrender in 72 hours or they will be destroyedshoopa wrote: ↑October 1st, 2025, 4:15 pmNetanyahu left the WH and said he is not for withdrawing all the troops out of Gaza and is not going to allow a 2 state solution. What choice does Trump have, you know how powerful a certain lobby in American politics is, you go against them they will spend money to have another candidate win your seat in the next election, I will not even mention the name. He can not go against the wishes of netanyahu.tacnet wrote: ↑October 3rd, 2025, 7:25 amYou've hit the nail on the head. This wasn't a peace plan, it was an ultimatum. There wasn't any negotiations. Trump doesn't have to worry about being elected again. There's nothing Netenyahu can do to hurt Trump. In fact its quite the opposite. What Netenyahu is doing in Gaza is hurting Trump. A lot of Trump's supporters don't like what they are seeing in Gaza.jlinkz wrote: ↑October 3rd, 2025, 7:36 amWhat choice does Trump have, you know how powerful a certain lobby in American politics is, you go against them they will spend money to have another candidate win your seat in the next election, I will not even mention the name. Also look how many countries have recognized Palestine ?? 157 of the 193 UN members states now recognize a Palestinian state. It would be the easiest thing in the world for Trump to do the same

President Trump has said he gives "H" until 6pm Washington DC time to accept his peace deal or else. I agree this seems more of an ultimatum than a negotiated peace deal. I wonder if they will accept it by that deadline.

Both side agreed to Trumps peace plan and he ordered the bombing to stop, the hostages are finally coming home, Trump will get his Nobel prize, this was a genius act by him, well done.

I am always for no war and in this case no famine and genocide, but I do not see this being a lasting peace. Israel wants the Gaza strip, West bank and east Jerusalem free of Palestinians. Just listen to Netanyahu and other high ranking Israeli officials have said. I do give credit to president Trump for trying to end the war but this will not satisfy Israel's goals.
My 2 cents I hope I am wrong and peace comes to that region.

I think your right. Sky News is reporting that 70 Palestinians have been killed today in further Israeli air strikesTheButcher wrote: ↑October 4th, 2025, 11:06 amI am always for no war and in this case no famine and genocide, but I do not see this being a lasting peace. I cant see Netenyahu letting the Palestinians remain in Gaza and once the war ends, he will likely be voted out of office and could end up in the Hague being tried as a war criminal. I don't think Netenyahu can afford to let this war end until he has completely annexed Gaza and the West Bank

I have been running around all day not seen the news, what happened to president Trump telling Netanyahu to stop the bombings, that is a slap in the face of the most powerful man in the world who is a staunch Israel supporter financially, militarily, diplomatically and politically. I'll go check the news next.
I totally agree with you tacnet, Netanyahu has a fragile extreme right coalition and as if he is not against the two state solution they push him even more. The war ends he is going to have his legal problems come center stage again. He does not want the war to end because as you said he will be voted out of power and face his criminal charges.
I see him launching another attack on Iran any day to prolong the war situation to stay in power. I also think there is the distinct possibility he will carry on with his ethnic cleansing and genocide once the hostages are out. Let's hope the hostages get out asap whatever happens they have been through hell. He'll either outright carry on bombing or come up with some excuse that the other side violated the term of the agreement.

No one is talking about a Palestinian state, they are still going to be occupied people, so the problem is not being solved and the can is being kicked down the road. Does anybody else see this?

Will both sides get what they want out of it,NO. Israel wants Gaza without Palestinians and Palestinians want their own state, so whatever they settle on now is not going to satisfy both parties, there will be more wars.
