Not too many Australians here so I'll tell you, in New South Wales we celebrate Labour day on Monday, 6 October, in other parts of the country it is on another day.

Good Sunday August 31st afternoon, I hope everyone feels better than I do. I had some infection that turned into bronchitis , popping antibiotics for 3rd day, and ruined my plans for this weekend. Getting sick sucks and smoking for all these years does not help your lungs either. The fever is what messes it all up, but riding it out. Have a great Sunday.
Peace.
Peace.

I definitely wanted to get some skating in, but Porn Valley was in the 100s this weekend. But the rink was open Monday night for adult skate. And we got sweaty, even with the air conditioning going.
I liked it more than "all ages" skate nights. It wasn't as packed. And while it's funny AF watching middle aged dads try to maintain dignity while flailing and struggling with balance, I didn't have to skate around kids bumping into each other.
Last month, I switched from rentals to a pair of skates I've had sitting for over 20 years. All we had to do was swap out the bearings and the skates are AMAZING! Huge difference. These had wide, hard wheels for speed indoors and they ZOOM across the floor with no effort.
And gotta say, the rink is a lot of fun on adult nights! The skating is faster, a lot of skaters are doing dance moves in the middle, and it's a really good crowd.

Moonlight Rollerway in Glendale and LA Kings Sport Center in Burbank.
The park in Burbank is about half the price of Moonlight most nights, but it's an outside rink and a bit too hot on Labor Day.
Right now, I just have wheels too hard for asphalt, but my next step is to get some softer wheels for skating the Orange Line bike path through Porn Valley.
