Exactly. Rich countries think that plastic pollution is just some woke shit or a scam (hence the title of this thread) because they don't see the affects it has

And I speak from personal experience. A few years back I was on a cruise round Malaysia and for several days we were sailing through vast rafts of plastic garbage.....and this was 25 miles out to sea !!

What really shocked me, as a Brit, was that I noticed a lot of British plastic amongst it eg Tesco carrier bags etc. And America is even worse, they ship more waste to the far east than anybody.

If that shit starts washing up on western shores then people will soon change their tune.
