caranddriver.com's headline reads:

"2026 Dodge Charger Gets Its Spark Back with Powerful Turbo Sixes, Burnout Mode

Offered as a 420-hp R/T or 550-hp Scat Pack, the Charger Sixpack has standard all-wheel drive with a special mode for rear-drive shenanigans."

Great news stop making these ev's and make a real gas charger, but don;t go half ass go all the way give buyers what they want, bring back the 5.7 litre Hemi V8 baby.

Stop listening to the woke crowd, build it with the true and trusted not to mention very popular Hemi engine.

One other thing, someone in marketing needs to stop calling their higher performance models "Scat Pacl"

I can buy this over the ev variant, if they do build a V8 then it will be my 1st pick.

When the XJ40 series jags were developed and produced starting in 1986 they said the only thing that would fit under the hood was a straight 6, well they shoe horned a V12 in there , anything is possible.

It's happening for real the twin turbo six cylinder with 550hp in the Scat Pack is here.

Now put back the V8 Hemi and all is forgiven, we'll pretend you never made the carnal sin of thinking about an EV Charger :)

They found out the hard way I suppose. A muscle car has to have an exhaust sound with crackles and pops not some speaker emulating fake sounds llf4532 but hey at least they learned their lesson and fixed the mistake.

550Hp from a 3 Litre turbocharged 6 cylinder is huge numbers. As much as I want the Hemi I can live with that power option.

It's insane how much horse power engines put out now compared to 30 years ago. I owned a 1995 Corvette with the 5.7L LT1 V8 and it put out 300 Horse power. That was good for the day, now a straight six with just over half the cubic inches and a couple of turbos puts out nearly double the horse power.

i used to love American automobiles(my first ever car was jeep grand cherokee 4.7 litre petrol - fun ride). then i spent 5 years in UK for my studies, had both a mini one and a range rover sport - and those are my favourite cars since then. well, when things are ok - range rover, when money is an issue - mini cooper. i drive a mini cooper se right now :/
