So much for Trump saying he will end the war in 24 hours once he wins.He's now carrying on where Biden left off. Sending aid, weapons, and doing sanctions plus tarffis. Where is the peace he promised his voters.

That was a campaign slogan no one believed it would happen, wishful and positive thinking at heart. You have to give your president credit for trying.

Apparently Trump is saying he is going to meet with Putin next week. In other words, Putin is going to play him like a fiddle..AGAIN !!

Trump knows he has to appear tough on Putin but so far, he's not put any pressure whatsoever on Putin to stop this war. There's been threats of tariffs, secondary tariffs, sanctions etc but so far, Trump hasn't followed through on ANY of them and Russia has ignored ALL of them

The secondary tariffs on China and India for buying Russian oil were supposed to come into effect this Friday (8th Aug) but what's the betting they will get put on hold again. Putin will come up with some bullshit that plays to Trump's ego and Trump will buy it hook, line and sinker as he always does

That's my opinion anyway

I agree with you this is another delay and a way out for Trump from putting more sanctions on Friday. He likes to set deadlines and then extend them.


I doubt Putin is going to budge from his conditions to end this SMO. Maybe Trump has agreed to all of Putin’s terms who knows.

It appears a Putin Trump pow wow is going to take place very soon. This BBC article has the conditions set by Russia clearly spelled out, I think the 2 leaders will get together, Trump will say okay you win and then get something in return to save face so he can get his Nobel peace prize. I just saw another article where the venue mentioned is the UAE.

The Russians said they will not meet for a photo-op so the deal has been done,not a cease fire but a final peace agreement. Steve Witkoff deserves a Nobel Peace prize if this goes through, he also should run for president in 2028, they guy is good. last point I'll stand with what I have said before, Zelensky will be gone in the next few months, probably to London.
