Mercedes EQ prices going lower with the EQS & EQE models coming to an end

I never liked the shape of the EQS or EQE and it appears neither did the buying public,I am all for electric cars being part of the line up but they should look like normal cars. BMW got it 100% spot on with their 7-Series, they offer gas, hybrid and electric versions all looking the same. The S-Class is the standard bearer in the luxury executive class, but they tried to make the EQS an electric lux-mobile and tit simply did not look dignified as the S-Class.

If you take away the tax credits on EV's their sales figures will drop substantially, people buy these nasty things for financial reasons.

https://www.motor1.com/news/766348/merc ... cing-2026/

"Some substantial cuts, especially to the SUVs, which are built in Mercedes-Benz's Tuscaloosa, Alabama plant. But all this comes with the caveat that Mercedes will soon indefinitely pause production of all these four models for the US. A Mercedes spokesperson confirmed to Motor1 that US-market EQE and EQS production will come to a halt on September 1st, and the company isn't saying when (or if) production will restart."

The Model S is the only one I will ever consider buying. The others do not look at all good to me.

My guess EQ will become a brand like Mercedes-AMG is they'll have Mercedes-EQ for the electric cars

The EQS never looked old school money as the S580 does. That's my opinion .

Mercedes EQS launched '10 years too early', says design chief
Electric streamliner is too radical and doomed by comparison to S-Class, Gorden Wagener suggests

You got to be kidding, the thing is butt fuck ugly and not impressive like an S-Class or BMW 7 series which I think is now the best looking executive sedan on the market. Build that ugly thing in 10 years and it'll still not sell, give it a rest.

Had they put the electric motors in the S Class it might have had a chance.
