Is there a new consensus among designers to go with infinite scroll pages or is it just me seeing them showing up more lately.

whatever it is I scroll tot he bottom of sites looking for their affiliate program link and it never happens the fucking page keeps going, that and for a contact link at the end of a page. Stop doing these for ever scroll pages.GlennfromLA wrote: ↑May 22nd, 2025, 1:05 pmIs there a new consensus among designers to go with infinite scroll pages or is it just me seeing them showing up more lately.

I personally do not like them.
long long LONG pages are good, but at some point force people to click to another page.

Everything has an end starting with life,a web page needs an end too.

From a design perspective, a "Load More" button seems to be the best way to go these days. It means the user can still get to your page footers if he wants to

Its more for mobile phone users where a pagination bar is not so easy to display. With some simple css media queries, you can have both. Infinite (or 'Load More') scrolling on mobile and a pagination bar on desktop.
If you are doing mobile scrolling, just make sure you have some hidden links on the page for google to follow. Otherwise their bot wont get past your first page
