My doctor told me yesterday if my HbA1c is not down to 6 in six months he will prescribe me pills. Is 6.9 dangerous?

As a type 2 diabetic I know a little about the disease. The ideal number is 5.7, you're prediabetic, there are many things you can do, and I am not perfect i eat some stuff I shouldn't but that's me. There are multiple medications you can take along with exercise and watching what you eat to bring it down. Good luck my friend it's controllable.

Type 2 diabetes is not uncommon I have it every one I know nearly has it, just live with it and do not dwell on it, take the meds I take mine and not let it get in the way of my daily life, good luck hon.

Yes sir you are correct, in type 1 individuals it is an autoimmune condition where the pancreas does not produce insulin, in type 2 your cells do not interact with insulin correctly to absorb it or the pancreas does not produce enough of it.

No clue what it stands for but I know HbA1c is your average blood glucose (sugar) level for the last two to three months. We have diabetics in our family and they talk about their HbA1c levels all the time that's how I know.

Manage your food it is the number one cause of most diseases
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

Diabetes and cancer can lurk for years and take your life. Do not under-estimate diabetes.
