Fighting against DEI is one thing but actively excluding a whole group of people because of their sexuality is another thing entirely. It's no different to excluding people because of their religion or the color of their skin etc. Its a slippery slope

Personally I think if anybody, trans, gay or straight is willing to risk their lives to protect your country then they deserve all the support you can give them

IF they conform to the rules, sure. when you become a military person, you become a military person and stop being anything else. Without this the military will not work efficiently when the military are attempting to make everyone happy.

I have spoke and have friends in the military, both dead and alive.
They agree with you, except when these beliefs interfere with the efficiency of the military.
They do not care about anything other than is the person next to them capable of and fulfilling their responsibilities correctly.

When you are worried that the person/people you are serving with are NOT doing their responsibilities how can they be secure in doing theirs.

The point is, why are we wasting time and money on these matters, when we should be focused on taking care of the veterans and the MEN.
Women comprising about 2-3% of deaths.
In OIF, 103 women died (14.5% of female casualties vs. 12% for men) Do we really want to put people that are MORE likely to die in a position to die?
If they are more likely to die, then would it be fare to say that would increase the chases of the people working next to them have an increased chance of death?

I see this as the inherent issue with people other than men in military. Same reason women are not in men sports. Certainly let them try when they can meet the standards already set for MEN!

And if he said that black people, or perhaps Jews couldn't server in the military, would that be ok ???

Of course not. And if its not ok to discriminate against people on the color of their skin or their religious beliefs, then its NOT ok to discriminate against them for their sexuality

Trans people are Trump's scape goat. They represent less than 1% of the total population and yet we are going to all this trouble to persecute them. And it doesn't stop there. Remember the LA fires recently and the uproar when MAGA republicans found out the top 2 fire chiefs were lesbians ????
