If you plan on selling links or doing serious seo then get subdomains , each subdomain can have it's own Google rank and placement for key words.
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

Angie,Angie wrote: ↑April 4th, 2020, 10:23 pmSo looking around here a few like subdomains and others like directories. I'm leaning towards subdomains right now. My concern is, when I move hosting directories seem a no extra effort. How much work would it entail to ad new subdomians to the new server, or if they copy it all over there is no extra work for me to do.
Before you can have a professional answer I would need more information.
Why are you moving hosting?
Who does the moving?
Are you using Cpanel hosting or what panel?
Directories are ONE site, one domain. So normally one install of wordpress, for example.
Subdomains are individual sites, that share a domain.
Each subdomain could be a new wordpress install, unless you use multisite.
The setup would determine which would create the most work on your part.
As I use both, subdomains take the most time for me, in the manner that I use them.

There are many good reasons to use subdomains. For example, multi-lingual versions of your website, a online store, a blog or any other section that you feel should be separate from your main website.
But if your goal is to boost your main domains SEO ranking then sub directories are usually the best way to go
This page explains it well - https://www.weglot.com/guides/subdirectory-vs-subdomain
"Your choice of subdirectories or subdomains doesn't directly impact your website's ranking. However, if your goal is to enhance the ranking of your main website, using a subdirectory structure can definitely be beneficial. This is because content in subdirectories shares the authority of your main website, while content located in a subdomain does not.
Furthermore, subdirectories can boost your root domain's Domain Authority over time through the acquisition of backlinks. If you use a subdirectory structure for your website, any backlinks that web pages in your subdirectories pick up will boost these pages’ authority. This can, in turn, boost the Domain Authority of your root domain."

I feel vindicated after reading that, directories are my thing, it helps with getting more pages listed I have experimented with subdomains and given up.
