President Trump announced the new tariffs and here is a graphic I saw that shows them. There is a 10% "Baseline" for all countries how I understood it.

Everything imported will go up in price, what I think, what is your opinion.
Stop looking for reps if they don't care why waste your time and traffic at their program, fuck that.

The markets liberated money today
"Stocks plummeted Thursday, sending the S&P 500
back into correction territory for its biggest one-day loss since 2020, after President Donald Trump unveiled sweeping tariffs, raising the risk of a global trade war that plunges the economy into a recession.
The broad market index dropped 4.84% and settled at 5,396.52, posting its worst day since June 2020. The Dow Jones Industrial Average
tumbled 1,679.39 points, or 3.98%, to close at 40,545.93 and mark its worst session since June 2020. The Nasdaq Composite plummeted 5.97% and ended at 16,550.61, registering its biggest decline since March 2020. The slide across equities was broad, with more than 400 of the S&P 500′s constituents posting losses."

Explain to me one thing about tariffs.
If country A has placed tariffs on say cars from Country B, when the cars come from country B to A, the importer in that country receiving the cars has to pay the tariif. How does this "tax" country A, it will end up in a cost passed on to the buyer in country B. Or did I get this wrong?

Foxnews is saying China is putting 34% tariffs on our goods starting April 10th, this is turning into a global trade war. Are we heading towards a world recession?

That is exactly right. Trump keeps going on about the hundreds of billions of dollars these tariffs will bring in but what he fails to mention is that its the American people who will pay that moneyjag wrote: ↑April 4th, 2025, 6:36 amExplain to me one thing about tariffs.

As a result, $6.2 trillion was wiped off the stock market in the last 2 days and JP Morgan has now increased their odds of a recession to 60% !!!
Trump will likely try and claim victory in the coming days as countries like Cambodia and Vietnam agree to negotiate. But these are some of the poorest countries in the world and have no choice but to capitulate. Cambodia for example exports around $12 billion to the USA but only imports around $320 million. That's nothing to do with tariffs, its because people in Cambodia can't afford Harley Davidsons, Teslas or other US made products
Buckle up America. Things are about to get a lot worse !

Jaguar Land Rover cars announced they will stop sending cars to the United States this month until they figure out how to handle the 25% tariff. This is bad news for a company which sells nearly 25% of it's cars in the US, it is bad news for buyers in the Sates who want to buy one of these cars, it is bad news for the families who depend on work at JLR and for the British economy.
"The carmaker, which employs 38,000 people in Britain, will pause car shipments from Monday while working out how to adjust to the price hit to its US exports.
The Telegraph understands that the pause will last for two weeks.
The Coventry-based firm sold 430,000 cars in the year to March, with nearly a quarter of its sales generated in the US.
Jaguar Land Rover sold £6.5bn worth of cars to the US over that period, the largest of any market. "

Although no car is 100% American made, I saw the other day that the "most American made car" is ...... TESLA !!!
Only around 20-25% of the components are imported but who the hell wants to buy a Tesla right now ???? LOL

here is my thinking if the president wanted to punish countries for putting tariffs on our exports that is fine, but why target friendly countries instead of calling up their president and saying listen man you need to take off tariffs or I have no choice to add them on our end too. don't you think you need to cut friends some slack?
