Dunning-Kruger Effect: Which Side Are You On?
Ever notice how some people think they’re geniuses but can’t tie their own shoes? Or how smart folks doubt themselves while idiots strut around clueless? That’s the Dunning-Kruger Effect: the dumb overestimate themselves, the skilled underestimate. Then there’s us—smart, self-aware, but stuck arguing with morons who don’t get it. Like the saying goes: “Never argue with a fool; they’ll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience.” Know your side, but don’t waste your breath.
So, which camp are you in?

For those who do not know what The Dunning–Kruger effect is:
"The Dunning–Kruger effect is a cognitive bias in which people with limited competence in a particular domain overestimate their abilities. It was first described by David Dunning and Justin Kruger in 1999. Some researchers also include the opposite effect for high performers: their tendency to underestimate their skills. In popular culture, the Dunning–Kruger effect is often misunderstood as a claim about general overconfidence of people with low intelligence instead of specific overconfidence of people unskilled at a particular task. "

Is this glass half full or half empty?

Getting rich takes making money, saving a nickel will not make you rich if you never make the buck

My first question is, what's in the glass, is it worth filling up or let it go and move to better things.

Cart before the horse, dude!
The phrase "glass half empty or half full" is a common idiom used to describe a person's outlook on life.
It refers to a hypothetical glass containing a liquid, filled to the halfway mark.
A "glass half full" perspective is optimistic, focusing on what is present or possible, while
a "glass half empty" view is pessimistic, emphasizing what is lacking or missing.
It’s a metaphor for assessing whether someone tends to see the positive or negative side of a situation.
Are you positive or negative? that is what this idiom is helping you determine.
What I have added should have made you think to be positive, not negative.
Adding this thought to the idiom shifts the focus from optimism or pessimism to practicality and opportunity.
Instead of dwelling on the current state (positive or negative), the real question is whether there’s a chance to replenish or improve the situation, emphasizing resourcefulness over perspective.
So yes make money to make your own drinks is an example of what I was attempting to share.
Free refills are better than paying more. That is how to make a million dollars 101.
