BMW's 'Neue Klasse' design direction is a disaster

From what spy photo's of BMW's camouflaged 'Neue Klasse' designs I have seen they have lost the pplot. These look bland, generic and nothing that says BMW to me.

What is going on here.

Straight lines are the latest trend, it's been going on for a few years, look at Hyundai's, Kia's, Cadillac's..........

Bends and curves are more time consuming and costly to stamp for parts.

They have to evolve you recall when Chris bangle was their head designer and created what was commonly referred to as the "Bangle butt" a lot of people cried about it yet other car manufacturers ended up copying them.
