My Monday sucked. Annual checkup at 930am and ended up not getting home until 5 hours later. Chest x-ray, pulmonary function testing. The Pall Mall and the allergies that I've picked up in the last couple years are making COPD kick my ass! Once you can't cross a parking lot without getting shortness of breath it's time to go on meds I guess. Claritin alone just doesn't cut it anymore so it's time to give in. Got my daily inhaler... and rescue inhaler... lets see how it goes. It sucks getting old. Especially after you've been a heavy smoker for well over 40 years. Oh well... I guess we all gotta die from something. At least I've got a pretty good idea of what my coffin nails are made of;)

Sorry to hear HeidiHoe, I missed this post. I preach so well to my kids not to take up smoking but never seem to listen to my own advice. Especially after seeing how my father in law died of lung cancer a couple of years ago I should start listening to myself. All the best, hope today goes better for you.

It's not all bad. I started antibiotics a few days ago. Based on the x-ray doc thinks there's some pneumonia in my right lower lung. So i guess this shit could improve! Who knows how long its been there.
