"Gene Hackman's will has been unveiled -- and the two-time Oscar-winner left every penny of his fortune to his wife, Betsy Arakawa -- but there's a big twist.

The Hollywood legend made Betsy his sole beneficiary back in 1995, according to the docs, obtained by TMZ.

We made a will before my late wife died and it said which ever one of us dies the other gets the estate, when both of us dies it goes to our brothers and sisters or their heirs if they are dead. It was simple and the best we came up with.
