Trump has now taken away the intelligence that provided Ukraine with an early warning system against Russian missile attacks. So in effect, Ukraine is now totally blind and unable to protect their civilians against missile and drone attacks. As a result, Putin has stepped up his attacks and is now launching waves of missiles and drones against civilian targets (infrastructure, energy etc). A lot of Ukrainian citizens are going to die as a result of this. Trump is effectively holding Ukraine down and inviting Putin to come and kick them in the teeth

How can allowing more Ukrainian civilians to die be classed as a step towards peace ???

Trump is putting the thumb screws on Zelensky to come make peace it's the only way to make that goon stop fighting.

Zelensky wants peace more than Putin does. He's even offered to resign if it means a lasting peace for his country (ie one with security guarantees). I don's see Putin making ANY gestures towards peace and Trump isn't putting any pressure on him to do so. Quite simply, Trump is turning against all his allies (not just Ukraine but also Europe, UK, Canada, Japan, Australia and all the other countries supporting Ukraine) whilst cozying up to a ruthless dictator like Putin

Did you see that both Germany and Poland are now considering building their own nuclear bombs because they can no longer rely on the USA nuclear deterrent ? How is that a step towards world peace ?

Im sorry but I don't believe a word Trump says. He is simply trying to carry favor with Putin. If Putin want's peace, then why is he going all our to kill as many Ukrainians as he can this last week ? Zelensky came to the oval office last week to sign that rare earth minerals deal in the hope to end the war and yet Trump kicked him out !

And why is Trump now considering deporting Ukrainians from the USA back to Ukraine ?? Clearly their country is at war and their lives are in danger if they are deported ???

I agree he didn't handle it well but it was obviously a setup. These press briefings normally last about 5 minutes and then they go behind closed doors but Trump kept this one going for 50 minutes. First there was that reporter asking him why he didn't wear a suit and the JD Vance laying into him

He seems to have changed his mind on it and it seems they never really stopped sharing intel. This and tariffs on Canada and Mexico on again off again. You see a pattern?

That's EXACTLY what Russia has been doing to Ukraine since the start of these "peace talks". As soon as they knew Trump had cut off the aid, they started bombing the hell out of Ukraine.

The proposal is for an immediate cease fire to start negotiating an end to the war. I can not see the Russians buying that one.
