He gave example after example of companies staring up factories at home with billions and billions of dollars investment.

Just cos Trump says it, doesn't make it true. Tariffs will destroy the US economy !!

I predict that he will magically say he has got something out of these tariffs in the coming days and then roll them back. Its all theater and bullshit

It's a brilliant plan more companies will come back and hire US workers to produce goods here. So far $1.7 TRILLION dollars in new investment has been promised at home.It will make our economy great again, reduce unemployment and hurt other countries not us.

End everything they build in the USA will cost the consumer MORE because the labor costs in the USA are twice as high as they are in say Mexico or China !!! Plus the USA will not be able to export any of its agricultural products because of reciprocal tariffs. China has already added tariffs on USA pork, beef, wheat etc. That's going to hit USA farmers hard

Trump is going to have to roll back this tariff strategy before massive inflation kicks in. The only question is how is he going to do it ?

He cant say that Canada has stopped fentanyl coming over the border because his own customs officials point out that only 0.2% of it comes via the northern border. And in any case, everybody knows he is just trying to collapse the Canadian economy so they will agree to becoming the 51st state which will never happen.

I predict that there will be some announcement soon whereby he claims he has magically got something in return for the tariffs and can claim it as a win.

Thats totally naive. Just look at your stock markets !!! Consumer confidence is at an all time low and that can easily trigger recession

And what's making it worse is this on again, off again strategy. No business can plan when the rules are changing on a day-to-day basis

Without getting into the benefits or drawbacks of tariffs, one thing I want to say is business and especially markets like stability. I watched president Trump speak from the Oval Office today, he answered a reporter who asked about these flip flop tariff decisions by answering, some small adjustments are okay ( Or words to that affect), Not saying I agree or disagree but this makes it hard for businesses to make decisions.
