What are the odds Trump will de-popualte the nearly 2 million people of Gaza and take it over. How will this work practically and legally.

This is never going to happen, and Trump was reading off a piece of paper quit a bit yesterday and not taking extemporaneously as he usually does. Which tells me he was going off a script handed to him. He was also pandering to the Jewish lobby in Washington namely AIPAC, not to mention his campaign received $100 million donation from the pro-Israel Miriam Adelson and when you donate large sums of money to any candidate you get things once they are elected.

Now why I say this will never happen, first of all what I see is ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people of Gaza and forced displacement of a people, that is illegal under international law. Second the two countries that Trump has said should take these people have categorically declined to do so, namely Egypt and Jordan. Yes both are heavily dependent on US aid and support but if they go along with this their own people on the street will over throw the leaders.
Third what happened to "America First" and not getting bogged down in endless wars in the middle east. You really want to put American boots in Gaza to manage this forced expulsion of nearly 2 million people and them safe guard the territory. It opens up the US personnel and forces in the region to hate and retaliation.

What international or even US law gives him or anyone the right to arbitrarily decide to remove the people of a land/country and take it over, can you imagine if any other country proposed doing this, the first person to jump up and down oppose it would be Trump himself.

This does not do anything for America but the opposite it undermines the rule of law America promotes and will create more enemies. Not one Arab or Islamic leader will side with it, if they do their own people will over throw them in a heart beat. It brings Americas enemies closer together and that is not good for peace.

It does not make Israel more secure. I think the only way to bring about peace and security in that region and middle east is to have a two state solution that the world and Unite Nations backs.

He wants Canada, Greenland, the panama canal and now Gaza these are expansionist colonial moves not the rebuild America platform he ran on, quite odd how he's changed his stance since coming into office.

I think this is Trump talking and it will never happen.

Great minds think alike, you said it perfectly. The part I am curious about is he was reading off some card or piece of paper, it wasn't something he just came up with at the spur of the moment, if I am not mistaken he even said this was something he had put some time thinking about. His son in law Jared kushner mentioned some ideas last year about developing Gaza, I wonder if he put Trump up to this.

I have not heard one leader or country come out back this plan, it is crazy at best, illegal too. I saw Netanyahu's face when Trump started talking about this and even he was surprised. You would assume trump would have run this hair brain idea by Netanyahu when they were having their talks behind closed doors.

God knows what trump was thinking I know it will never happen but it has created a lot of air time just as the rebranding of jaguar cars did when that ad came out lol.


Just to mention he wants other countries to take the 2 million Palestinians, for rich Arab countries to pay for the reconstruction and no American boots on the ground, but America will own Gaza. Another point he talked about a demolition site, real estate, jobs, a building a beautiful Riviera as if it was some real estate project.
