We need to make changes so this scale of wild fire never damages so much property again. Someone needs to be held accountable for this mess.

If I was the Gov. of California I would fire the mayor, city council and fire department heads over this.

I dont think ANY city could be prepared for wild fires on that scale. It was a disaster waiting to happen. They've had practically no rain for the last 9 months or so, so all the plant growth is like dried tinder. Add to that extremely low humidity and 100 mile an hour winds and a single spark would set the whole lot off. The fire hydrants ran dry because there were hundreds of fire trucks sucking all the water out of the system.
They are simply not setup to fight fires on that scale and Im not sure any city would be. Dont know what the answer is

I feel for the average Joe who lost their home not for the millionaires who can afford to stay at one of their other residences.

It was the worst fire in my lifetime, this one will go down in LA history for all the wrong reasons.

When Trump is putting tariffs on Canada he should not forget we in Quebec sent fire fighting air craft just last month to help put out those wildfires in California.
