I hope to god your right but deep down Im skeptical. Last time he had a lot of guard rails round him because he wanted to be re-elected and he had a lot of people pushing back on some of his crazier ideas but this time there's no such restraints. The main criteria for his cabinet seems to be LOYALTY rather than experience and a Trump surrounded by a load of "YES" men is a frightening prospect, especially when you throw Musk into the mix.

Most of the rest of the world is looking on in horror right now

Trump is not even in office yet but him and Musk are already causing chaos around the world. There has been political backlash from the UK, France, Germany, Canada, Denmark, Greenland, Mexico etc and that's only in the last few weeks !!!

Can you imagine any other leader come out and say 1% of the stuff he says, I honestly feel bad for the American people, especially the half that did not vote for him.
