Honda and Nissan confirmed their potential merger plus Mitsubishi might join in, if it happens the result in my opinion will be , well I won't say it, or I will, I see more corporate platforms and boring cars. There I said it. The Honda NSX and Nissan 300Z were unique cars in the day with v6 engines, all the downsizing in cubic inches has ruined it for me.

The two Japanese auto giants, along with Mitsubishi, today confirmed plans to team up. This comes after last week's reports that predicated a merger. Honda is pretty solid financially why would they merge with Nissan?

I am not a fan of Japanese cars, never have been but why Honda lost the plot went from a 3.5L V6 to some punny 1.5L turbo four banger makes no sense. Nissan loves the CVT transmission which i think is a disaster, they also los the plot years ago downsizing engines. Mistsubishi I have never liked so who cares if they all disappear. Build real cars or die as a brand.

Buy a Lexus or Toyota they are the best Japanese cars in my opinion.

Each one of them should have merged with a big brand such as BMW, Mercedes and Audi, not together.

Germany makes the best cars period, you see more leaders and business executives in Mercedes than all the Japanese brands put together.

Develop a twin turbo V6 give the cars real performance not these hybrid little 4 pot engines.

Bring back the NSX without a hybrid setup, that was a cool car. Close down Acura they are boring remakes of Honda's any way.
