which of these 2 WP themes do you like
I'm debating whetherthe infinite scroll theme on
https://www.sponsorchat.com/blog/
or a more traditional theme with 10 posts per page here is better
https://www.sponsorchat.com/blog2/
I can redo the colors on this one to match my other sites, that is not the real isue, or if you like the colors as they are.
Peace

I'm using the same theme on a site, edit your theme function file and add the "s" to fix it.
I like /blog/ but if you go with /blog2/ I would use excerpts on archive pages instead of full text.

2 points here , first you have content linked from other sites so the https will not work on the blog plus the trend now is for 'pinterest style' so the scroll effect is more popular, your blogs do what you want.

What he said. You've fixed the oops in the theme but as long as you serve hot-linked images over http you'll have mixed content thus breaking encryption.chilli.domains wrote: ↑July 26th, 2018, 4:15 pm2 points here , first you have content linked from other sites so the https will not work on the blog plus the trend now is for 'pinterest style' so the scroll effect is more popular, your blogs do what you want.

Look at Pinterest and it should be real obvious and simple to decide.

from what i've seen, http works so far form images
this is link for http image
http://www.lolpix.com/pictures/2018_7/I_Need_This.jpg
the http image can be seen in the SC blog here:
https://www.sponsorchat.com/blog2/2018/ ... -the-kids/
so a http image is on a https blog, but it doesn't seem to matter because it is still showing
but then, i am not an expert and don't know what i'm talking about, just babbling on

on the blog... look at the address bar... where is your lock? click the info icon you'll see instead of the lock (which is missing) and you'll see why it matters.bill wrote: ↑July 26th, 2018, 6:04 pmfrom what i've seen, http works so far form images

i have absolutely no idea what this means
my computer is ancient, with vista, and my google is just as old (it can't be updated on my antique computer) so i have absolutely no idea what an "info icon" is or a "lock" is -- but i'm still learning and thank you for being helpful

info icon: Gives the surfer a warning that site is NOT fully secure and attackers might be able to see the images on the site you're looking at and trick you by modifying them.bill wrote: ↑July 27th, 2018, 12:00 pm"on the blog... look at the address bar... where is your lock? click the info icon you'll see instead of the lock (which is missing) and you'll see why it matters."

lock icon: Connection secure. Your info (example password, credit card numbers) is private when sent to this site.
Even if there's no login info required for the site it's better to not use mixed content and maintain a secure connection for the love of google
