You got to love the Beeb how they use adjectives to push their agenda. The guy got 224 out of 225 possible votes, that seems a decisive win.

"A former Manchester City footballer has been appointed president by Georgia's disputed parliament, after 17 days of pro-EU protests that have swept this country's towns and cities.

Mikheil Kavelashvili, now 53, is a former MP from the increasingly authoritarian ruling Georgian Dream party and was the only candidate for the job.

On Saturday, 224 out of 225 members of Georgia's electoral college voted for him."

You have to put this into context. Firstly he was the ONLY candidate for the job after the four main opposition groups have boycotted parliament since October claiming the elections were rigged by Russia

You've only got to look at the mass protests on the streets to see that the Georgian people want to be part of the EU and not go back to depending on Russia

This is an exact re-run of what happened in Ukraine in 2014 when pro Russian Viktor Yanukovych became president after a highly questionable election. He eventually had to flee the country after mass protests. Once Putin realized he couldn't use corruption to get his way, he switched to using force and invaded Crimea

Again I'll say what I have for all wars, not our problem let them fix it.
Trump says he is for no war and he proved it in his first term, let these Georgians do their thing, not with our money.

Another 'Color revolution' is about to happen from the sound of it.

https://www.cnn.com/2024/10/28/europe/g ... index.html

" Georgia’s President Salome Zourabichvili has called on citizens to protest the results of a disputed election in an attempt to save the country’s “European future.”

In an interview with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour, Zourabichvili – a pro-Western figure whose powers are largely ceremonial – said the election had been marred by unprecedented levels of interference, which aimed to knock the post-Soviet country from its path toward Europe and keep it within the Kremlin’s orbit.

Tens of thousands of Georgians massed outside the parliament on Monday night, calling for the annulment of Saturday’s parliamentary election that the opposition has said was rigged with Russia’s blessing. "
Why is it called a color revolution that makes me think lgbtq not politics
Give me celebrity porn
